My Burn Out List..
I'm a Muma so burn out is expected of us. It's what we do isn't it? For some we wear it as a medal of honor.
"I've pushed myself so far and given so much now I'm empty, where's my gold star?!"
Others just keep going ignoring the whispers of the universe until they sink into their beds and cry themselves to sleep through exhaustion.
You'll hear it across the playground the general mutter of "I'm tired" every morning. I do it too and there is no crime in that.
I've burnt myself out recently with birthdays and family social events. I am officially empty. The old me would keep going..
But over the years I've come to learn that my burn out list is an essential way of staying on top of it. I use it for when I've over done it or even better I try and implement it so that I don't reach that point where I've stretched myself too far.
A couple of things on my list are...
Listen to music you love: Music makes my heart sing. And there are certain songs that seem to fill me up from the inside outwards.
Baths: The bath is the answer to a lot of my mermaid vibes. It not only cleanses your energy but it's warm and luxurious which makes me feel better in myself. It's a fab way to thank your body for all its hard work during the day.
And others on my list are
Go for a walk
Watch a movie on my own.
Read a good book
Eat some chocolate 🤣
Get into bed an hour earlier.
Buy yourself some flowers.
Light your favorite smelly candle.
All are small things that keep my vibration high and fill me back up.
Make a burn out list to remind you of the things that light you up. Use it when you need to. So this season you don't over do it, because there is no reward or badge given out for the most exhausted.
Look after yourself.
