As it's get to know me month I can talk about myself right? Of course I can. So here goes..
I'm sat on the sidelines of Boo's gymnastics class talking openly about my spirituality and angels, spirit, even grounding. This is now a normal occurrence from the playground to the allotment.
This evening on my way back to the car I remind myself that little over three years ago I was working under a different branding and hiding my identity.
Two years ago I would never have said "Oh I'm totally woo woo, I talk to spirit and sage my house weekly with incense and a singing bowl".
"My name's Charlie I'm totally woo woo, I talk to spirit, predict future paths
and sage my house weekly with incense and a singing bowl".
Obviously I break people in a little more gently than that. Not because I am worried, but people need to know I never force my spirituality on another person. I have a friend I've known since I was twelve, and we don't talk about anything woo-woo ever. Her sister is one of my clients but its a topic that's not on the cards for us. Pun unintended, but now it's there I'm going to keep it.
Thursdays I go to my local Costa after the school run. I pull out my laptop, check in with clients and then hit my card reading list for the day. There is no judgement. A lot of the locals know the deal. OK you can see some of them taking a double glance. But I just carry on doing what I am doing in the corner. Minimal fuss and maximum freedom to shine my light. It feels so good to be living my authentic life.
I am grateful for my sisters before me who made sacrifices, I am grateful for this life I am living, for my friends who support me, and for my clients who embrace my woo-woo ways.
